A Night at Falcon Crest

If only I'd bought that unlimited JetBlue pass (is that thing still valid for October?) I would have winged out to Beverly Hills for last night's event at The Paley Center, reuniting the cast of the classic '80s CBS soap, Falcon Crest.

But in this digital age, there's always the next best thing. The Paley Center's web site has collected its live tweets from the event, containing cast revelations about the show, here.

And blogger Jim Halterman has posted some fun pre-show video from the red carpet, with such Falcon Crest stalwarts as Lorenzo Lamas (aka Lance Cumson), Ana Alicia (Melissa Agretti), Jamie Rose (Vicki Gioberti), Abby Dalton (Julia Cumson) and the show's creator, 87-year-old Earl Hamner. It's a Living

In today's random thought... Maybe it's that I've been holed up at home for a week now, going a little squirrelly while writing on deadline. And maybe this has something to do with the DVD for the first season of Castle which arrived today, which features Susan Sullivan.

But I got to thinking: I'm lucky enough to get to write about new and classic TV as my job, and to talk to people I've always admired. But then, I have to sit home and turn hours of interviews into a coherent article. There are the pros and the cons, but overall (and now maybe you won't be able to get the theme song out of your mind either) It's a Living!
