Legendary TV writer/creator Don Bellisario doesn't use the word spinoff when referring to his series NCIS, which was first introduced as a special episode of Bellisario's earlier show JAG.But today at the TCA, CBS President Nina Tassler referred to a new NCIS "spinoff," which will be now introduced in exactly the same way: as an episode of the ever-growing Tuesday night hit. According to Tassler:
It's happening. We're doing it... We've seen an outline. We're in great shape, and we're just waiting to get the script, but we're going to cast, and we're going to shoot...
